Workshop Dates & Times

The workshop starts at 8:45am
The workshop finishes at 5:00pm (approximately)
Specific workshop activities will be detailed on a timetable supplied on the first day.

Using the intercom system located at the front gate, identify yourself and state you are attending the ASI workshop.  Proceed to the first floor to obtain a pass and get directions to the Training Room

Getting There

Qantas Shuttle Bus

A shuttle bus leaves the QCC transport area at 0815

Access and Security

Access to the venue is available between 8.00am and 5.30pm only.

Please obtain details from the reception regarding the specific location of the workshop within the building.

Security at the venue cannot be guaranteed.  Please do not leave personal or valuable items unattended.

Workshop Presentation

The workshop topics are focussed on the analysis progression of an aviation occurrence investigation.  You will be given the opportunity to practice by conducting the progressive steps in an investigation exercise which runs throughout the entire course.  You will be learning through a mix of instructions, interactive sessions and practical exercises.

Pre Reading

We will be conducting an analysis exercise based on a recent occurrence. Please read and be familiar with the information prior to commencing the workshop.

A document will be distributed by James Redgrove containing the pre-reading

What to Bring

Laptop computer (if available, not essential), and an open mind.  Stationary and course notes will be supplied.

Tea and coffee are available at the facility.  Lunchtime meal is not supplied.  There are several café’s in the local area open for lunch

Illness / Injury

Any illness or injury that may affect your ability to participate in the workshope should be reported to us as soon as possible.  During training, the workshope facilitators should be advised immediately.  Contact telephone numbers for the facilitators will be provided at the beginning of the workshop.

In consideration of all Workplace Health and Safety requirements, all participants must comply with all lawful direction given by the facilitators.
